I.   Install service:

II.  Configure and install Cacti
èPackage cacti and run package –php5-socket

èExtract file “cacti-0.8.8a.tar.gz” to path /srv/www/htdocs and rename cacti-0.8.8a to cacti

èCreate group & user cacti with password
èRestart serice mysql

èConfigure user root to access to mysql database

èCreate database for “cacti” and set privileges cacti database to “cactiuser”

èDump cacti database

èEdit file in path “/srv/www/htdocs/cacti/include/config.php” to change database_password to”cactiuser” to “123”
Set permission for “rra” and “log”

Make cron schedule with “crontab -e”

Restart service: 

Access to webpage: http://192.168.10.82/cacti


Next to install

Next


log in user admin and password admin
Change password “admin” to “123”
Results cacti

III.    Add host on windows XP
 Install service snmp:

Control penal è add or remove program
    
   RUNèservices.msc
        
Start add host on webpage
    
èEnable host

èAdd graph
èResults

Install service snmp
